It focuses on the dimensions of justice that intersect with gender, addressing systemic barriers that affect women, girls, and gender-diverse people, and fostering intersectional reforms grounded in human rights and social justice.

Dra. Sofía M. Cobo Téllez
Dr. Dra. Sofía M. Cobo Téllez is a legal scholar and human rights expert with over 20 years of experience in juvenile justice, applied research, higher education, and public policy across Mexico and Ibero-America. She holds a Doctor of Law degree with a specialization in Human Rights and a certification in Juvenile Criminal Justice from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. She has served as a national and international consultant, collaborating with organizations including the Organization of American States (OAS/CICAD), and has contributed to the development of technical standards, policy frameworks, and specialized publications on juvenile justice and human rights. She is also a professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a National Researcher (SNI-CONACYT), and the author of numerous books and scholarly articles.
Dr. Tasneem Deo
Dr. Tasneem Deo is a scholar of criminal law, criminology, and sociology whose research examines policing, courts, and prisons through socio-legal methods. Her work focuses on improving criminal justice institutions through field-based research, legislative reform, and capacity building. She has collaborated with organizations including the National Commission for Women, the Bureau of Police Research and Development, and the Government of Karnataka, and is currently leading a project on the decriminalization of industrial laws for the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the State of Chhattisgarh. Dr. Deo earned her doctorate from Yale Law School, where her research explored the impact of gender on judicial decision-making.
Marta Gil
Marta Gil is an attorney with advanced degrees in Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law, Gender and Citizenship, and Child and Juvenile Justice. With over 18 years of international experience, she has worked across Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East in program leadership, policy development, and advocacy. Her career includes roles with governments, leading universities, international NGOs, and UN agencies—including UN Women, UNICEF, and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). She has also served as a researcher on gender-based violence and children’s rights in conflict settings and is an accredited criminal and intercultural mediator. Since 2026, she has served as Director of Programs, Policy, and Advocacy at ActionAid.
