ICJA is continuing its collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University on a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network proposal called “CHILDJUST — Systemic Violence Against CHILDren in JUSTice Systems.”
The proposal brings together a dozen European universities to strengthen research and training on child-centred justice and deepen understanding of systemic violence in justice systems.
During several working sessions in Manchester, participants refined the scientific objectives, reviewed potential training pathways for early-stage researchers, and explored how CHILDJUST can directly support the development of more people-centred and child-centred justice systems across Europe.
This collaboration also strengthens ICJA’s contribution to building the next generation of researchers and practitioners capable of addressing structural violence, discrimination, and the impact of digitalisation and climate risks on children’s access to justice.
We look forward to continuing this work over the coming weeks, ahead of the upcoming submission phase.
Stay tuned for updates on the development of CHILDJUST.
